Punta Cana ATV Expedition: Local Life, Cenote & Cabo Engaño
Go beyond the resorts on a guided ATV expedition through Verón, Hoyo Claro cenote and Cabo Engaño, combining local life, off-road riding, swimming and the coast.
Leave the resort zone behind on a guided half-day ATV expedition designed to combine off-road adventure, real Dominican life, freshwater swimming and a wild coastal stop in one varied circuit.
After pickup from selected Punta Cana and Bávaro accommodations, travel by van to the ATV meeting point. Your team will complete check-in, receive a safety briefing and route orientation, and be assigned the ATV option booked before the convoy departs with a guide leading the group and support staff accompanying the experience.
Ride through authentic streets in Verón and see a side of Punta Cana that most visitors never experience. Stop at a traditional Dominican colmadón while your guide introduces everyday community life, local customs and the role these neighborhood shops play in Dominican culture.
Continue through a changing mix of local streets, secondary roads, rural tracks and off-road sections surrounded by tropical vegetation on the way to Hoyo Claro. At the cenote, enjoy time to swim, cool off, relax and take photos in a natural freshwater setting.
The expedition then continues toward Cabo Engaño along a combination of countryside roads and rugged terrain. At the coast, enjoy free time to swim, relax and take in the open Atlantic scenery while your guide shares context about this eastern corner of the Dominican Republic. Cold water and non-alcoholic refreshments remain available throughout the tour.
Finish with a final ATV ride back to the meeting point, where you can rest before boarding the return transportation to your original pickup area. This experience is built for travelers who want more than a short tourist track: a complete ATV circuit mixing local culture, nature, driving and coast in approximately 4.5 hours.
